LET GO AND LET GOD

BY APOSTLE, DR. ALEX L. JENKINS, SR., NEW LIFE APOSTOLIC CHURCH OF JESUS, INC.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV): “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Greetings, beloved brothers and sisters!

Today, I want to talk to you about a profound and transformative principle that can bring peace, joy, and fulfillment into our lives: “Let Go and Let God.” In our daily walk, we often find ourselves weighed down by worries, fears, and anxieties. But the Word of God encourages us to surrender these burdens and trust in His divine plan. Let’s explore this powerful message through the lens of Scripture.

Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV): “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

This passage reminds us to place our trust fully in the Lord. We must let go of our limited understanding and allow God to guide our steps. When we surrender our worries to Him, we open ourselves to His divine direction and wisdom.

Do Not Worry About Tomorrow

Matthew 6:25-27 (KJV): “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”

Jesus teaches us not to worry about our needs because our Heavenly Father knows what we require. Just as the birds are cared for, so are we. Let go of your anxieties and trust that God will provide for you.

Cast Your Burdens on the Lord

Psalm 55:22 (KJV): “Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

When we cast our burdens on the Lord, He promises to sustain us. We are assured that He will not let us fall. Trust in His sustaining power and let go of the weight that drags you down.

God Cares for You

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV): “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

This verse encourages us to cast all our cares upon the Lord because He cares for us deeply. Letting go means recognizing that God’s love and concern for us surpasses any challenge we face.

The Peace of God

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV): “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Paul urges us not to be anxious about anything but to bring our requests to God in prayer. When we do so, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds. This is the peace that comes from letting go and letting God take control.

Conclusion

Dear friends, as we reflect on these scriptures, let us embrace the freedom and peace that comes from surrendering our worries to God. Like a bird soaring freely in the sky, let go of your burdens and allow God’s grace to lift you higher. Trust in His plan, for He is guiding you every step of the way.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unwavering love and care for us. Help us to trust in You with all our hearts, to cast our burdens upon You, and to find peace in Your divine plan. May we always remember to let go of our worries and allow Your grace to guide us. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Proverbs 31:10 (KJV): “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.”

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Today, I am delighted to share with you a reflection on what it means to be a virtuous woman for Jesus. In a world that often places value on outward appearances and superficial achievements, the Bible calls us to pursue virtues that reflect the heart and character of Christ. Let’s explore the qualities of a virtuous woman and how we can embody these attributes in our daily lives.

Faith and Devotion

A virtuous woman is deeply rooted in her faith. She places her trust in God and seeks His guidance in all aspects of her life. Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, “Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” True beauty comes from a heart that reveres God.

Wisdom and Understanding

The virtuous woman is wise and discerning. She seeks wisdom through prayer and the study of God’s Word. Proverbs 31:26 says, “She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” Her words are filled with grace and truth, providing encouragement and guidance to others.

Strength and Dignity

A virtuous woman carries herself with strength and dignity. She faces challenges with courage, knowing that God is her strength. Proverbs 31:25 declares, “Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.” Her confidence is rooted in her faith in God’s promises.

Compassion and Kindness

Compassion and kindness are hallmarks of a virtuous woman. She reaches out to those in need and offers her support with a loving heart. Proverbs 31:20 highlights her generosity: “She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy.” Her acts of kindness reflect the love of Christ.

Diligence and Stewardship

A virtuous woman is diligent and a good steward of her resources. She manages her household with care and works diligently to provide for her family. Proverbs 31:27 says, “She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.” Her diligence is a testimony to her commitment and responsibility.

Faithfulness and Loyalty

Faithfulness is a defining trait of a virtuous woman. She is loyal to her family, friends, and community. Proverbs 31:11 assures, “The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.” Her reliability and trustworthiness are unwavering.

Conclusion

As we reflect on these virtues, let us strive to embody them in our own lives. Being a virtuous woman for Jesus is not about perfection but about a heart committed to growing in Christ-like character. Let us seek God’s guidance daily, allowing His Word to shape us into women of faith, wisdom, strength, compassion, diligence, and faithfulness.

Call to Action

I encourage you to embrace the journey of becoming a virtuous woman for Jesus. Reflect on these qualities and ask God to help you cultivate them in your life. Together, we can be a powerful testament to the transformative love of Christ.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the example of the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31. Help us to embody these qualities in our lives. Strengthen our faith, fill us with wisdom, and guide us in compassion and diligence. May our lives reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

May God bless you all as you walk in the virtues of faith and grace.

FAITH UNDER PRESSURE

By Apostle, Dr. Alex L. Jenkins, Sr., New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (KJV): “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.”

Greetings, Dear readers!

Today, we delve into the crucial topic of maintaining faith under pressure. Life’s trials and tribulations can test our faith, but it is precisely during these challenging times that our faith can become a beacon of hope and strength. Let’s explore how we can keep our faith steadfast even when we are under immense pressure.

Understanding the Nature of Trials

The Bible is clear that trials are a part of life. James 1:2-3 encourages us to “count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” Trials are not meant to break us but to build us, refining our faith and character.

The Purpose of Pressure

Pressure often reveals the true nature of our faith. It exposes our weaknesses but also provides an opportunity for growth. In Romans 5:3-4, Paul writes, “And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope.” Our trials can lead us to a deeper, more resilient faith.

Maintaining Faith During Difficult Times

  1. Stay Rooted in God’s Word
    • The Bible is our ultimate source of strength and guidance. In times of pressure, immerse yourself in Scripture. Psalm 119:105 reminds us, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
  2. Persistent Prayer
    • Prayer is our direct line to God. It is through prayer that we find peace and reassurance. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to bring everything to God in prayer and promises that His peace will guard our hearts and minds.
  3. Trust in God’s Plan
    • Even when we don’t understand why we are going through certain trials, we must trust that God has a purpose for everything. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Drawing Strength from Community

We are not meant to endure trials alone. Galatians 6:2 urges us to “bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Surround yourself with a supportive community of believers who can pray with you, offer encouragement, and provide practical help.

Finding Hope in God’s Promises

God’s promises provide us with hope and assurance during difficult times. Isaiah 41:10 offers comfort: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Personal Reflection

In my own journey, I have faced many pressures that seemed insurmountable. Yet, it was during these times that I witnessed God’s faithfulness most clearly. His strength was made perfect in my weakness, and my faith was fortified through each trial.

Conclusion

As we close, remember that faith under pressure is not just about enduring hardships but about growing through them. Let your faith be a source of light and strength, not only for yourself but also for those around you.

Call to Action

I encourage you to hold fast to your faith, especially when facing life’s pressures. Trust in God’s promises, lean on your community, and remain steadfast in prayer and Scripture.

Closing Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your steadfast love and faithfulness. Help us to maintain our faith under pressure, trusting that You are with us through every trial. Strengthen and guide us, and let our faith be a testimony of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

May God bless you all as you stand firm in your faith through every pressure and trial.

“THE POWER OF FAITH IN DIFFICULT TIMES”

By Apostle, Dr. Alex L. Jenkins, Sr., Chief Leader of New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!

As we continue our journey of weekly reflections, I want to share about the power of faith during challenging times. Life often presents us with trials that test our faith, but it is in these moments that our faith can grow the strongest.

Faith Through the Storms

In the Bible, we find countless stories of individuals who faced insurmountable odds yet held steadfast to their faith. One such story is that of Job, who endured unimaginable suffering but never wavered in his trust in God. Job 1:21 reflects his unwavering faith: “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Strength in Adversity

Our faith is often strengthened in the crucible of adversity. James 1:2-4 reminds us, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” These verses encourage us to view our trials as opportunities for spiritual growth and maturity.

Holding On to God’s Promises

During difficult times, it is essential to cling to the promises of God. Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Even when our circumstances seem bleak, we can hold on to the assurance that God is working behind the scenes for our good.

Practical Ways to Strengthen Faith

  1. Prayer: Continual prayer connects us with God’s strength and peace.
  2. Scripture: Reading and meditating on God’s promises bolsters our faith.
  3. Worship: Worship shifts our focus from our problems to God’s greatness.
  4. Community: Engaging with fellow believers provides encouragement and support.

A Personal Testimony

In my own life, I have faced numerous challenges that seemed overwhelming. However, it was during these times that I experienced the profound power of faith. God has always been faithful, providing strength and guidance when I needed it most. These experiences have deepened my trust in His plans and purposes.

As we navigate through life’s storms, let us remember that our faith can be a powerful anchor. It grounds us, gives us hope, and reminds us of God’s unfailing love and sovereignty.

Join me next week as we explore another topic to enrich our spiritual walk. Until then, remain steadfast and let your faith shine brightly in every situation.

GODS PERFECT TIMING: A LESSONS IN PATIENCE

By Apostle, Dr. Alex L. Jenkins, Sr., Chief Leader of the New Life Apostolic Church of Jesus, Inc.

Subject-e1718629712514

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

As we reflect on these reflections and thoughts lets kick things off with a topic that hits close to home for many; the perfection of Gods timing. In a world that moves at lightning speed waiting can truly test our faith. Yet grasping and accepting Gods timing can pave the way for growth and a stronger reliance on His master plan.

Unpacking Gods Timing

The pages of the Bible are brimming with instances where God’s timing’s flawless. Take Ecclesiastes 3:1 as an example, where it reads, “To everything there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.” This verse serves as a reminder that every event, in our lives unfolds according to orchestration. While we may not always comprehend why delays or seasons of waiting come our way we can have faith that everything is being orchestrated for our good.

Navigating Through Waiting

Our patience is truly put to the test when we encounter setbacks or hurdles.”In todays paced world we often struggle with waiting for things to happen at the time according to Gods plan. The Bible teaches us the importance of patience. James 5:7 8 advises us to be patient, like a farmer waiting for the harvest reminding us that the Lords return is near.

Fostering Patience

During times of waiting it is essential to maintain trust and surrender. Isaiah 40:31 gives hope to those who wait on the Lord by promising renewed strength and endurance likening them to eagles soaring high without growing weary.

Practical Ways to Develop Patience

1. Prayer: Keeping a line of communication with God helps us align our desires with His purpose.

2. Meditation, on Scripture: Regularly immersing ourselves in Gods Word strengthens our faith and endurance over time.

In my experience I’ve gone through periods of waiting. Each time I’ve seen how faithful God is as He reveals His plan at the moment. These situations have shown me that delays aren’t denials but opportunities, for blessings.

As we keep believing in Gods timing lets remember that He’s always on time. His timing is flawless. His intentions for us are positive. Lets learn to wait trusting that our caring Father is, in charge.

Stay tuned for week when we explore another thought provoking topic. Until then hold onto your faith and trust in the timing of God.

Best wishes,
